After a long career as one of the United States Navy's hardest working Fleet Oilers, the USS Hassayampa (AO-145) has been discarded and now suffers the final indignity of awaiting the scrapper's torch in Suisun Bay, CA.  She is rafted with two other Neosho class oilers, the Kawishiwi and the Ponchatoula, scheduled to meet her fate in December, 2005.
